Below is a tube tied up from some dumbbell eyes, with olive dyed, Wyoming killed mallard flank and chicken scraps from the coop. Simple fly with body, wing and collar. We will always have a collar! Most times tied out of upland or waterfowl shot here here in the Rocky Mountain West. Nothing like a good collar on you swing flies. It is the essence! We are tried and true, life time lovers of the Soft Hackle. big of small. Soft hackles are a drying art, not here the the WFC.
Don’t really have a name for the one, other than maybe a Dyed Mallard tube. Fish will eat it!
