Wyoming fly fishing guide service

Experience The Best Of Southwest Wyoming

We cover a lot of water in Western Wyoming. From the mountain headwaters of the Green to the bottom of Seedskadee, we cover nearly the entire Green River Basin. Near Pinedale and Daniel, the freestone Upper Green and New Fork Rivers provide excellent float fishing opportunities on relatively small water. Numerous public and private tributaries provide smaller creek wade fishing and a number of lakes in the area hold lunkers that are truly mind altering.  Further downstream where the river becomes a broad tailwater flowing from Fontenelle Reservoir, we are fortunate to be one of the few guide services that can legally guide fishing trips on the 37 miles of the Green River flowing through Seedskadee National Wildlife Refuge (under Solitary Angler, Park City Fly Shop/Guide Service & Four Seasons).  Jumping over the hill to the Alpine, Star Valley and Afton areas, we also guide trips on the Salt River, an intimate little river that has a character all its own.  Whatever experience you’re looking for, our guides are simply the best at putting you on fish and making sure you’re having a great time on the water.

Fly Fishing Lessons | $130/2 hrs

Our introductory fly fishing lessons are a great way to get your feet wet with a fly rod and not commit the entire day to it. We do a 2 hour lesson, which goes over the basics in fly casting, equipment, entomology, and how to play and land a fish. We do these lessons on dry land then progress to either a pond or a stream. These venues have fish, so catching a fish during your lesson is certainly a possibility! The “extended” fly casting lesson has been a hit in recent years. You can spend 2 hours on a proper casting lesson, then go fishing on an hourly basis after that for a rate of $75 per hour, guide/instructor included.

Scenic Float Trip | $150/3 hrs

If you’re interested in viewing the river from a boat and not fishing, these scenic float trips are a great way to view wildlife and enjoy the scenery the Green and New Fork Rivers have to offer. These trips are usually 3 hours in duration and can accommodate up to 3 people per drift boat.
