Here we are mid February 2026 and our snowpack is hanging in there. The upper Green River Basin is now at 93% of normal. We have a pretty good storm settling in as I write this, finally some new snow on the ground this morning, more on the way tonight. The last few weeks/months have been dry. We are finally seeing some cold and snow… Good thing!
We have been on the river weekly, the guide team has been sniffing out all sorts of good stuff. We are still doing our discounted winter fly fishing trips for $550 per boat. Until April 1. After that, our prices had to increase this year to $825 per boat below the dam and $750 above. The Wyoming legislature passed a bill requiring all guides to register with the game and fish, hopefully this is the beginning to preserve the solitary experience we have here in the Cowboy State.

Our winter trout spey trips have been a lot of fun. Geared for beginners to experts! Swinging flies on a winter day is a great way to see the water differently, immersed in solitude. We have available dates before we head to Steelhead Valhala. I have swung up steelhead in every state they live and well versed with all casting styles and their applications. Arctic Grayling are now a trip we can offer! Under Camp GROW, we will be running some grayling trips starting June 1 here locally! If you’ve ever wanted to catch one, we can get you into them! Arctic Grayling are very cool fish, and a MUST for all anglers!
Pray for more snow, we need it! We will have great fishing this year, but August and into September may present more challenges than what we have experienced in the past if we don’t see some epic snowfall soon …In that case, you may consider coming up to Alaska to fish with us this fall instead of Wyoming! Saltwater fishing and eco tours of the incredible paradise we will be operating in. We plan on running guide trips for Silver, Pink, Sockeye salmon, Steelhead, Dolly Varden and sea run cutthroat that eat dry flies. All inclusive packages. Sea Duck Hunting for harlequin and more!!! You’ll eat locally caught saltwater critters and never get sick of it. Can you eat too much halibut and spot prawns in one week?? We are already starting to book 2027 Alaska, still availability this year and next.
