What a busy last few weeks! We are catching our breath and getting ready for the next push of mid fall work, before the winter sets in….
Our guide team has been out doing it all, roping 27″ river fish, chasing double digit lake trout, Geese/Duck hunts, and doing a little elk hunting. Fish are in great shape during this beautiful fall we have.
2025 Wyoming field hunts!!
We have availability in the coming weeks for all trips. Our private field hunts for Geese and ducks have been productive, with limits for all hunters before 10am on our dry field hunts so far. We call these hunts “Little Canada”. Cost for a dry land field hunt is $350 per gun. We have the following dates available: October 20-25, 27-31 & November 1-4, 8-10, 19.

We will be doing a fair amount of duck hunts over water coming up, out of our 25′ Duckwater Ocean. Diver and puddle duck hunts.

Wyoming two hander fish swung up this week…
As winter comes in, it’s time to think about throwing the two handed rod and swinging streamers. We have a few trout spey/switch rod/skagit guide trips coming up as we go into winter locally. Our river is a great place to swing flies. Long beautiful runs, all winter and open water for miles! Winter is a great time to swing flies on a spey rod, can be very productive, and what better activity than getting out of the house on a nice winter day and swinging up some big fish! We provide the spey rods and flies on these trips. Whether you need to button up your D Loop or Snap T, Snake Roll, Single Spey, Perry Poke casts for an upcoming Steelhead trip… OR you just want to learn how to spey cast, we can help with you! WFC guide Ryan Hudson has guided Steelhead and Taimen anglers with spey rods in the last 2 decades, he’d be happy to show you the method, along with some wild stories, Stateside or abroad while chasing fish with a two hander.

On the Steelhead note, we are doing Ak Steelhead again this April/May, and again in the fall of 2026. Our April/May trips have availability if you want to join in on these trips. Focus is swinging flies, but we’ll nymph em if we have too…. On the May 2025 trip, we swung ALL fish up…none caught under a bobber. It was about as perfect sea run rainbow trip a guy or guide could ask for. After an incredible experience last spring fishing AK steelhead, we have no choice but to return. Along with steelhead, we will be targeting silvers, halibut, rockfish and SEADUCKS during the fall. Need a Harlequin for the wall? We can help…. Our lake trips chasing lake trout have been alot of fun lately. Fish are colored up in pre spawn mode. We got a fair amount of Macks over 30″ this weeks. The fishing will heat up in the coming weeks with these fish. Fly fishing or Spin fishing, we are on em and can accommodate up to 4 anglers on these lake trips for Lake trout, trout and night fishing for burbot. Thats right, we guide burbot trips! We even got into some recently. Poor mans lobster, and no limit on them!
