We’re running with the throttle a bit more open these days. The water is warming and we are seeing a consistent ice-off feeding behavior in the systems. The fortunes have been great on the WFC boats! The boys are all in “get’it” mode as the freshwater bugs are feeding the bellies of our mega-trout, trophy inventory. Now is a great time to book a trip for Spring fishing with Wyoming Fishing Company!

Cold, pre-run-off waters during the season of Spring in Wyoming offer large, vibrantly colored carnivorous trout.

As the season fires off, more and more of our crew is funneling in and staking their claim on the river banks. Trips are booking up rather quickly this year so, be sure to get your days on the water scheduled sooner – rather than later. We have guides available through May! What a time to be on the water. Typically, May is a handbasket full of opportunities to wrestle with brutes. The water is cool and the early stages of the aquatic life cycle are in full-swing.

Spring fishing in Wyoming with Wyoming Fishing Company is a time proven method of meeting truly trophy-grade Bows!

The Whitey Special
Back by popular demand this spring season is everyone’s favorite local table fare hunt, the WFC Whitey Special! This is a targeted hunt to fill the stringer with plenty of flaky white meat baring, pale finned critters. With hefty creel limits and our knowledgeable guides, this 5-6 hour trip is meant to bring home the freshwater bacon. We are selling this trip for $375/boat with all gear provided! We’ll be running this hunt through the spring so, be sure to get a spot while the gettin’ is good.

Supper is on! White fish trips are an adventurous outing with a tasty meal being the objective.

Learn to row
Our rowing clinics have been booking well and we have taken pride in aiding our clients to become more proficient in the middle seat. We maintain that the boat’s success is directly linked to the skill of the oarsman.
Now, you can share in that success by learning our methodology. This is an opportunity to spend a day learning to fish an angler from the middle seat, and learn the tactics we use to systematically catch trophy fish through the utility of our clients. Learn more here.

Our rowing clinic offer one-on-one instruction with some of the best oarsmen in Western Wyoming.

On the swing!
A few of us, here at the WFC, have extensive experience swinging flies on big water throughout the Pacific Northwest. In recent years, we’ve been playing with the idea of integrating our knowledge of Skagit style fishing into our personal brand of an aggressive streamer approach to targeting big meat eaters here in the Mountain West. The result of mating those two disciplines has given birth to our new Trout-Spey program and the results have been incredible! We are now booking for the coming season so, if you would like to try your hand at hunting goliaths west-coast-style, give us a ring at 307-360-3251 or email at info@wyofishco.com

Way to go Hud! Nice trophy Bow swung up on the Spey rod.

Additionally, take note that we are still experience cooler mornings and the potential for a windy afternoon. Be sure to bring along a good (preferably waterproof) coat and any other cold weather garments you may need to keep comfortable. Also, sunglasses are a must.
