2025 is off to a great start here at the Wyo Fish Co, starting out 12th year in operation. We keep growing! We are ice fishing, river fishing and daydreaming about Summer fishing. Our snowpack is currently over 100% in the Green River drainage, we certainly could use more snow, but we have good layers up high that should last longer that the previous years’ runoff.

“Poor man’s lobster” the Burbot.
The ice fishing has been fun, but tricky lately. We have gotten burbot, whitefish and trout through the ice, along with trout and whitefish in the rivers. Fish are in great shape this year and will only get bigger.
We are excited to offer guided fishing trips on the Snake River in Jackson, Wyoming this year. We have acquired the permitting to allow us to legally guide this river in Teton County, Wyoming. We have acquired some incredible private walk wade and river boat launches! Our access gets us in the river miles below everyone else putting in. We begin guiding the Snake River next week, along with our usual program in our home drainage. The Snake River in Jackson fishes great pre-runoff and Late July-September. This is a Snake River Finespotted Cutthroat trout fishery, in their native habitat under the Teton Mountains in the famous, Jackson Hole.
River trips have been productive so far. Kurt had a good trip over the weekend, I (Ryan) had a good day last week. Seeing more fish hit the next over 20″ than under it seems.
2025 is booking up nicely, we hired more guides to elevate the workload and give us more flexibility. If you haven’t gotten your dates booked, nows the time!
On a separate note, the Wyoming Legislature has moved a guide regulation bill further into the legislative session. We still don’t know what will happen, but we need something to be done. We have testified during this years’ legislative session. Too much gov’t is a bad thing, but not enough makes it chaos. We are at the chaos part.

This upcoming weekend looks great for fly fishing on the river. We have guides available in both Jackson, Wyoming and the Green River. $500 for the full day float, that’s $200-$300 discount! Skiing is done, lets go!
Lastly, our Alaska steelhead fishing/seaduck hunting operation has begun and I’ll be headed there in May to guide steelhead. Are you interested in shooting Harlequin, Scoter or other coveted ducks or catching the last, greatest, undisturbed runs of steelhead in North America? Drop us a line!
